Human Trafficating Speaker

Manchester-Essex Rotary Club hosted the MERHS Global Issues classes at its February 10 breakfast meeting.  Manchester resident Christina Bain, of Babson College, gave an informative talk on the topic of Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery. Ms Bain discussed the history of national and international legislation designed to stop the exploitation of adults and children worldwide, and as close to home as Peabody, MA.  Guests included faculty members Donna McKay and James Walliman, and Stephanie Clark, Executive Director of Amirah Boston.  Amirah is a non-profit organization located in the Boston area, offering a refuge and transformative whole-person care for survivors of commercial exploitation.
