Our very own Weezie Howley is a Managing Director and Founding Member with Beauty Counter, a unique company transforming the beauty industry by creating clean, high-performing skin care and makeup—while fighting to change the laws that control what can and cannot be used in products, so that everyone has access to safer beauty. If you use any kind of skin care product, you'll want to join this meeting and learn more! |

Saturday Morning Cartoon League Scholarship
Oct 12, 2022 7:30 AM
The Jeff Morris Scholarship raises money for Salem High School graduates as they embark on college. The Scholarship Fund is designated for a select few Salem High School seniors who will be attending college in the coming fall. The seniors, who have been chosen to receive the Jeff Morris Scholarship, have had exemplary school records as well as a sincere appreciation for the surrounding community. The only other requirement for the applicants is that they have participated in the Saturday Morning Cartoon League Basketball program during their youth. We are looking to you, as a community business, family or friend to help sponsor the scholarships. You can decide what type of donation best suits you. For the Golf Tournament you can sponsor a hole, donate prizes for our raffle, or give a cash amount to the Scholarship Fund. Your donation is tax-deductible. Since the inception of the Jeff Morris Scholarship Fund in 1994, it has awarded over $165,000 to the education of these fortunate young men and women. Each year we have been able to refinance the scholarship due mostly in part to sponsors and generosity from people such as you. |

The CCB Foundation
Oct 19, 2022 6:30 PM
Colleen will be speaking about the CCB Foundation in advance of their annual fundraiser Cory’s Trivia Night & Silent Auction. The event will take place on Saturday, October 28th at the Gloucester Elks. This year we are thrilled to announce we are opening the CORE Peer Recovery and Resource Center located in Gloucester. All funds raised this year will go directly to enhancing program offerings at the CORE. Click on the link below to purchase tickets through Eventbrite. Dinner and participation in trivia are included in the ticket price. In addition, there will be a cash bar, silent auction, and raffles. If you would like to reserve a table for a group of 10 people that have purchased a ticket, please send your request to Theresa at tah0920@gmail.com and include the names of the 10 people.
The CCB Foundation was established in memory of our son Cory Bullard. On August 19th 2017, at the age of 30, Cory lost his battle with the disease of addiction. Ironically, this should have been the day Cory celebrated over 2 years of sobriety, but like others trying to manage this life-long chronic disease, Cory had a single relapse, which ultimately took his life. Like so many other individuals suffering from this disease Cory was intelligent, well educated, funny, caring, and compassionate. He had worked so hard over the past two years of his life to overcome the disease and get his life back on track. He began enjoying life again; hiking, fishing, family events, and being with friends. He went back to college and received his accreditation for substance abuse counseling.

Annual Clamfest includes a festival with vendors and chowder competition. Rotary will setup our tent and be giving away water and treats. In addition, Mike Storella tells us the Clamfest has a need for our help from 11 - 1:30 at with the actual event, so there is a new signup for that - of course our booth members can always go over and help with it too.

On Monday, October 31st we'll once again be serving dinner at The First Baptist Church in Beverly. We're looking for 5 or 6 volunteers to help make this happen. A full dinner is served from 5:45 - 6:15
so we need setup and prep volunteers from 4-6 and service and cleanup volunteers from 5-7. Some can even volunteer for both shifts if they wish. This year costumes are optional as the event coincides with Halloween. Please contact Chris Shea by email or use the volunteer signup
