Welcome to the website for the Manchester-Essex Rotary Club. Our two towns are located on the Massachusetts coast, approximately 25 miles north of Boston. Our young club is steadily growning, and remains committed to the principles of service and fellowship.
We have continued our relationship with the school system in Manchester and Essex, funding annual scholarships, and various student assistance funds. We sponsor the Interact Club, which has become the largest club activity at the high school, and which in turn sponsors its own collection of service activities. On the national front we have sponsored continuing hurricane relief, book drives, and holiday bell ringing for the salvation army. We support international projects including clean water, rotoplast missions, clothing and medical drives and more. Rotary International, along with the Gates Foundation, is currently on a mission to finally eradicate polio from the planet. For a smaller club we accomplish an incredible amount of service activities.
Our meetings are held on Wednesday mornings at the American Legion Amaral-Bailey Post 113 located behind the Manchester Town Hall. These breakfast meetings start at 7:15 and end promptly at 8:30. We usually have an interesting speaker who addresses the group for 20 to 25 minutes. Won't you please join us and see what all the buzz is about?
