This week I was so thankful that Lex handed out a sheet giving us all instructions on how to get on the "Do Not Call" list! I was really sweating that one out. Although some of us really need to get those calls so we don't have any lonely nights. / Happy Birthday to Paul Murphey! He got a nice gift of us all singing to him. But alas, his fingers are really feeling the old age and his coffee mug slipped right through his fingers and spilled all over himself. Time to stock up on Tylenol Arthritis, Murph. / The District Bowlathon will be held in Gloucester on March 6th. Everyone start polisihing their lovely bowling shoes. There might be a heated competition! / The 5 year anniversary dinner will be on February 22nd at the Landing in Manchester. Our theme will be how the club has grown over the years. Everyone please bring in any photos for a video slide show that Wesley Fornero is going to create for us. Either e-mail them to: wesley@fornerophotography.com or bring in a disk of the images / The next Open Door at the Cape Ann Food Pantry will be February 21st / Our very interesting speakers this week were from North Shore Cancer Care. They gave a fascinating presentation about the new Oncology Center that is opening in Danvers. They told us all about the reasons why Mass General Hospital wants to work so closely with the new center. Dawn suggested we all get involved by participating in the Annual North Shore Cancer Walk. Sounds like a great way to contribute to the fight against cancer. / See you all next week!
